Vagabond Inn is a business that was supposed to benefit from the bipartisan CARES Act. Unfortunately, the workers of these affected businesses continue suffering. The article from the Sunday edition of the LA Times, “ICE may split essential worker from her family,” highlights unjust deportations by ICE of essential workers mostly hurting American business. This is not a political analysis nor discussion of how or why the government is deporting essential workers. My question is for readers: how do the practices demonstrated by the article, forcing out the immigrants who have held these jobs for some, 20 or 30, years- impact the American economy?
